Carry out repairs due to earthquake damage. Seismic strengthening and modifications to tanks as required to achieve safe working environment for client and their staff. Worked closely in consultation with design engineers to arrive at viable and economical solutions for the client. Supply quotes / hourly rates. Fabricated tank skirts: hold down chairs and tank bases in our workshop in Nelson and carried out installation on site.
Site installation: Total 10 months. Supply, Fabricate, and fit new products: Hoppers, Dosing tanks, Chutes, Magnetic Separators
Work with site Project Manager and site Engineering Supervisor to plan works and determine budgets. Completed a number of larger site expansion projects and Co Solvent modifications involving high pressure extraction pipe work both Swagelok and Autoclave systems. Low pressure process lines, hot water carbon pipe work, insulation and steel support structures.
Fabrication of specialised plant including condensers, conveyors and heat exchangers. Modifications and guarding as required on plant and machines for Health and Safety compliance.
New Galley fit out on fishing vessel and carry out modifications to fish processing lines in factories (ship and shore).
Work closely with Sealord’s staff and management to understand issues and requirements. Determine best solutions and problem solving. Supply fabricate and fit on-site galley sink benches and frames for the FV Ocean Dawn, combination of new components and modification of existing conveyors and chutes for factory modifications.
New Galley fit out on fishing vessels and carry out modifications to fish processing lines in factories (ship and shore). Work closely with Talley’s staff and management to understand issues and requirements.
Determine best solutions and problem solving. Supply, fabricate and fit on-site galley sink benches and frames for the fishing vessels Columbia, Atlantis, Capt MJ Souza and Enterprise, combination of new components and modification of existing conveyors and chutes for factory modifications.
Supply and fabricate stainless Recycling Bins. Work with clients to come up with practical solutions for their new recycling policy, while maintaining Nelson Airport’s “Boulder Bank” theme.
Fabricated 2 large outdoor recycling bins and 4 smaller indoor bins.
Inspired by the feather of an indigenous Kereru (wood pigeon), this sculptural project was commissioned to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of Regional Parks in Auckland.

Our Engineering workshop in Vickerman Street, Port Nelson is fitted out with a comprehensive range of machinery, enabling efficient production to time critical deadlines. We carry a range of plate and tube in stock and can source custom sizes and component parts on short deadlines.
Cutting Plasma cutting: We offer a comprehensive Computer Controlled Cutting Service (CNC) with the ability to convert files direct from DXF, DWG or scanned from a hand sketch or photo. Our plate bed is capable of taking 6.200m x 2.800m sheet size. We cut Mild Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminium and any conductive metals (i.e. copper, brass, etc.) from 1.5mm to 30mm thick. We can supply plate or cut your own.
Guillotine: 2.50 metres long. Can cut up to 3mm thickness mild steel & stainless and up to 5mm thickness aluminium. Others: Equipment includes; Band Saws, Cold Cut Saws and Orbital GF Saws
Pressing / Folding / Forming Press Brake: 3 metres long. Can press up to 3mm thickness stainless & mild steel sheet and 5mm thickness aluminium sheet.
Hand folders - for light bending work
Tube Benders - for forming from ½ inch to 1½ inch diameter tube.
Welding We have TIG, MIG, ARC and Spot welders, to carry out fabrication of all Stainless Steel, Mild Steel and Aluminium materials together with Caddy (portable) welders for on-site work.
Weld Procedures and Qualified welders: Dairy Ticket AS/NZS 2980 & Asme1X
Machining With a variety of Lathes, Mills and Drill Presses, we are capable of machining components to highly exacting specifications.
Polishing / Finishing Our facility is equipped with polishing equipment and portable hand polishers to buff items to any standard of finish required. In addition, we have a custom-built glass bead blasting cabin for finishing stainless to a matt, brushed finish.
