Welcome to our new ‘Hadleigh'. The original ‘Hadleigh’ located in Central Christchurch was a Category 1 listed Historic home built in the late 19th Century. Sadly it could not withstand the violent earthquake that struck that region in February 2011. We moved North and bought a stunning Aaron Haddock designed home in the Waikato. Construction had been completed in 2004 however, prior to our purchase, it had sat in a 2 ha. field surrounded by cattle.We recognised the build deserved a better setting so decided to create a woodland garden.We planted over 2,500 trees, shrubs and hedging, which proved challenging but cathartic given our earlier trauma.We brought the 'Hadleigh' name with us in memory of what was lost. Situated 1 hour 20 mins from Auckland's International airport, the rural setting is just 10 minutes from Hamilton CBD. We have the best of both worlds and are delighted to welcome visitors to share this special place.
Cancellation Policy: Hadleigh does not require a deposit nor is there a cancellation fee, however if intending guests experience difficulty that prevents travel, cancellation notification is appreciated. There are no additional charges throughout your stay at Hadleigh.
